I\'m so stoked! The next conventions in Chicago! I\'m definetly going. I haven\'t been there in 6 &1/2 years since my family moved to Portland. I cant wait. I am really looking forward to it. Especially since starting this fall my best friend is moving to chicago for college, so if i go to the convention i get to spend time w her in chi town! i didnt get to go to detroit, she went tho, I\'m so excited .... chicago rocks! The convention will be sponsored by Philadelphia church but we looking forward to cooperate with other churches in some thinks. As mush as I know it won\'t be in our church b/c our church is about 1200 so is too small but will find a nice place for sure. I don\'t think Bethany has 1600 but for me it looks very small is big b/c it has a lot of rooms, but for sure you will look for a special place.
So just prepare to experience God and pray for that, but will be more people I\'m confident much more.

.. ROYOUTH was actuall started to communicate events for the 2003 east coast youth convention that was hosted by our church youth at Bethesda Romanian Pent. Church in Troy, MI. (detroit-metro area) it was done this past Memborial Day weekend. next year's youth convention should be around the same time too.

they are usually a mix of both languages as well.

there are two (2) youth conventions! one EAST COAST and one WEST COAST! EAST COAST is during Memorial day weekend and WEST COAST is usually during the July 4th weekend.

Then theres the big national penti convention in August/September.

I'm sorry to hear that...but I'm sure when you'll really find the right one, the price will be just perfect (not too law nor to high)...in the meantime keep saving...
As for the most things in life being usually out of our range... I have somewhat a different opinion.

As for the most things in life being usually out of our range... I have somewhat a different opinion.
Someone said : "shoot for the moon for even if you miss it you'll still end up through the stars"...now my version is...I'm not happy with the moon nonetheless with some stars...sooo, I'll just shoot for the sun and keep shooting until I get it.

Very true, but it also depends what you shoot with... if you shoot with bullets, it might end up dead... if you shoot with words, it might end up offended... if you shoot with flowers, it might end up impressed.........and if you shoot with love, chances are that it might very well end up in love...

I was a guest shopper. You know, it was a new market, and I was invited to come along. I don't mind going along for the ride. It's fun to explore the different states and what they have to offer.

As I said before, I wasn't really shopping... maybe a little window shopping, but I never had any money to buy anything. Even the cheap items that you would normally see at garage sales. You know that the item was already used by the person selling it, but it's usually so cheap that some people have a hard time passing up a bargain, eh? ;)

I wouldn't say to keep quiet, but let's say just talk and express yourself in words...don't shoot with them...don't view the whole thing as a fight you have to win, for there could be more good answers, but only one best answer and this can be different than yours or different for different people and situations...
See I don't like to view people as objects for sale. An object is just an object, with more or less value, you buy it, you use it, sometimes you display it (when it is precious to you) , and if it does not satisfy your expectations you return it, or sell it in a garage sale, or just throw it away...In all this process you are the owner and you do whatever you want...because the object is dead, you can break it but you can't hurt it... with people things are different... even the cheapest possible person at a garage sale (that may come even free if you are willing to buy something else along) remains still a person, with a mind, and a heart, and dreams, and body... and she can feel and suffer and be desapointed and I don't think that as Christians we have any rights to take advantage of such people even if at times this is harder than not to take advantage of them. A human being is a value in itself as a piece of diamond or gold is. No matter how dirty or used or despised it is...even if it is in the mudd and stepped over by everybody, it's value is the same in God's eyes...and that value is the price Jesus paid for her and her price is as high as yours or mine is...she just doesn't know it. (But does your attitude help her realise that price, or you just choose to use her, or to make fun of her with your friends, or to compare yourself with her and feel a lot better?)

Guys should change their attitude towards girls(no matter how cheap they seem to be) and should look at them as Jesus did. For no girl would be as cheap as she is if there would be no guys to take advantage of that...no baby girl is ever born cheap...but we as a society grow her to become so...and when this happens in church is really really sad. I like Jesus's attitude towards the woman cought in adultery...If you are sinnless be the first one to throw the stone at her, but no one had that right but Him, and He did not use His right because He saw in her more than a piece of meat used and despised and blamed by all...He saw deeper than that cheap woman that everybody wanted dead...He saw a heart (dirty and hurt as it was) capable to love much more than many of the other people (including his disciples) and capable of a high committment to the one who dared to see any worth in her... and the holy God of universe had the courage to see worth in this worthless woman, to forgive her, to defend her and win her for His haven...for that who has been forgiven much loves much...Now if you are a real Christian go and do as He did, look at people with God's eyes, and love them with His heart...

Tips for how to treat a lady: be a gentleman with all of them, but never take advantage of anyone( even if that's what they want). Do not approach her as "something" you have to win (she's not a prize) but as "someone" that you want to know better, to see if you can build a relationship together. And don't use her in any physical way( for your training or fun purposes) especially if you are not sure that you want to commit to her for a lifetime and take full responsability for your actions.

Hmmm... I have already proceeded in most, if not all, of these suggestions. I agree. Women are not pieces of meat, but in my comparison of the previous conventions, I used the analogy that it was a meat market, as opposed to a meet market. Either case, it was not in regards to only women, but also to men. The guys were there to pimp themselves just as much as the girls were. So, hopefully, there was no offense taken from either gender. My comments were meant to simply analyze the previous conventions that I have attended and to give an analogy so that others would understand a different perspective of the events in which I witnessed.
