The Phoenix Youth will be hosting the Conference Memorial Day weekend, MAY 23 to MAY 26. Come stay for the whole week. Last year at that time it was highs in the 80s and lows in the 70s. Beautiful and dry. And all the lakes will be at high levels for boating and skiing...

Ya, it's actually pretty nice here right now. I hope it doesn't get too hot in May. Friday night (May 23) the service is going to be at our church (Happy Valley) and after tat we are all going to Polar Ice for some ice skating and fellowship and getting to know everyone. Saturday night will take place at the Phoenix Convention Center. It will be a free service so people can bring their unchristian friends and American friends. There will be sermons in english that night. Sunday morning there is not an actual convention service, but the worhip groups are going to be split up and sent to the 4 churches (Happy Valley, Elim, Maranatha, Living Waters). Anyhow, there will be a lot of people at each of the churches. Sunday night will take place at Phoenix Convention Center. I think that this is the night that the Phoenix Youth Choir (just formed and I'm in it) will be singing. {A side note for AZers, we need more people in the youth choir, especially guys because right now its basically a girls choir. Practice is Saturday nights at 6:00pm at Elim. Thx and God Bless} We hope to see a lot of people at the convention and we are anticipating a marvelous time in God's presence.

humans can't melt at 85 if their internal temperature is normally around 98.6 F, and i can't stand hot weather. i like spring the most.

:D I get it now.

In Europe we use Degrees. And in degrees, the internal human temperature is around 37 DEGREES which is 98.6 F

The boiling point in DEGREES is 100 DEGREES. So imagine what it is like at a temp of 85 DEGREES. That's why I said that you melt at 85 Degrees. Obviously there is no way someone can melt at 85F or under 30 Degrees.

P.S. Irish summers are the best. Doesn't get any higher than 30 Degrees. Whatever that is in F. :D

Problem solved.

You're right, but I think LC took 85 as Faraday degrees for Celsius degrees.

AZ is nice now. The mountains are so green. I always stare in amazement as I pass by then on my way to school. I want it to rain more so we can get some more greenery in AZ. Man, I can't wait till the convention. Our youth choir is preparing some nice songs. It'll be nice.

nice try tabs, but we both know that jackie lives in az (states) and in the US we use Fahrenheit...so we have to assume, by her location, that we're talking about 85 F....aaand, she even said it herself: "It's around 85 degrees F.. NOW.." ...sooooooo ha! i win.

-LC.

*btw. i knew you'd use that argument against me. i was ready for it. lol. and don't they use Celsius in Europe?

Are you sure it was 70-80 in May? Maybe Celsius. :laf:
Should be a good convention.

actually, if you convert those numbers from F to C you get 158-176.
