yeah good point.........
i think my favorite charachter is either daniel or joseph..cause they went far higher than the rest, even tho they were like so young and thrown in such difficult circumstances. and yet they "grew where they were planted" and NEVER EVER compromised their standards. i mean, people who search and search to find fault in them and they couldnt. that is awesome!!! i wanna be like that................

I admire the life that Joseph lived for several reasons. What I like best about him is that where ever he was God helped him and he was always put in charge since everyone around him found out that he was successful at everything he did.

My favorite character is unamed. She is the noble woman that is spoken of in the last chapter of proverbs. I admire her because I want to be just like her.

My favorite character is Joseph.
1. Faith proven by deeds!!----i've read his story sooo many times and i'm still amazed at how he went about proving his faith. He was a walking testament (which we are all called to be) James in ch.2 writes how any faith without works is a dead faith. Through all of his 12 years of being away from his family, accused of sexual assult, spending time in prison, etc Joseph never lost his faith. Imagine if this would have happened to one of us...how quickly would we have fallen from our faith in God?
2. Purity---Joseph understood that in order to show ur faith you have to live it, and abstain from certain things. II Peter 1:5 "And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue;" Virtue is moral uprightness. This is the first step toward a perfect faith that peter lists from vrs.5 to vrs.7. Joseph had to deal with exactly what we guys (and girls have to deal with today). Imagine him as the head of the house of Potiphar: he always say loose dressed women just like we see today at school and everywhere in society (same applies to girls for the guys who dress indecent). He was probably tempted by someone to drink alcohol, and the greatest temptation of all was to sleep with Potiphar's wife. (i'm not gonna preach here but i think everyone who's reading this knows what they've gone through in their lives, and especially teens these days with all the temptations in this world. I know one thing that if my parents ever had to go to high school in America they would freak out. Seeing on a daily basis and hearing on a daily basis what we have to hear makes it very hard to keep a pure life.) But dont' discourage because Christ is with you!!! just like he was with Joseph.
(and this is the last point of my mini-sermon just so this post won't be too long)
3. WISDOM----man....i just can't imagine how smart Joseph must have been. I don't know what kind of education he got but i don't think that's the main point. The main point is, that he recieved his wisdom from GOD. I don't know if most of you realize but its not that you read so many books that makes you smart, or that you've done who knows how many math problems. Wisdom comes from Christ. "In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. " Col. 2:3 I'm sure Joseph knew this and that is why he was so smart. God revealed to him everything he had to do. So if you're thinking that everyone is just naturally smart and that you're dumb, let me encourage you my saying "pray to God, who has all the wisdom and knowledge, He will grant it unto you if you pray by faith. Ask and you shall recieve!!"
GBU all!!!

yeah......ghita.......that is why i like daniel too....cause he went thru the exact same things as joseph and maybe more......
well, he didnt have to deal with sexual temptation......cause....poor guy.........he was made a enuch. but he went thru alot also......and both him and joseph are what i call examples of true character and godliness in youth.
i pray that we can be examples like they were, always focused on God and on pleasing Him.

Peter “the rock”
His story reminds me that I too have denied Christ at times. And in the story he does it three times before the roster crows.

yeah...i like peter alot too. I find it very interesting how Peter's names are so symbolic of his character (before and after). His name was Simon (which in Greek means "shifting sand") and then Jesus transformed his name to Peter "the rock" (in greek "petros") That's how his faith was before his true turining point. He was like shifting sand. But if you read II Peter 1: 5-7 you will see seven qualities that we need to add to our faith to become solid as a rock. Peter knows what is all about, after all he did experience it first hand.

Timothy......cuz its my name...haha..jk..:tom: He was such a big help to Paul..and as paul says.."adevaratul meu copil in credinta..'' He knew the word of God since childhood, "din pruncie cunosti Sfintele Scripturi..." This man of true faith.. full of good deeds and actions and also Perseverance... cuz Paul told Timothy to take a little bit of wine for his stomach, ''ci sa iei si cite putin vin, din pricina stomahului tau, si din pricina deselor tale imbonaviri''...sooo even though timothy was sick and very apt to sickness...he still was a servant of God....i admire that.. taking in no consideration of even health...but doing God's will..

an yeah, good point about the health thing with timothy. that thought never really occured to me when i've read about him. but its a very good observatory point there, tim. good job!

pimp (pimp) n., v., pimped, pimp•ing — n.1. a person, esp. a man, who solicits customers for a prostitute or a brothel, usu. in return for a share of the earnings; procurer. 2. a despicable person.
I agree that Solomon had a problem but that doesn't mean he was a pimp.

Jdg 4:21 Then Jael Heber's wife took a nail of the tent, and took an hammer in her hand, and went softly unto him, and smote the nail into his temples, and fastened it into the ground: for he was fast asleep and weary. So he died.
I couldn't help but admire Jael for using such a creative method to kill Sisera who was a captain of the army that was oppressing Isreal at that time.

The criminal on the cross... what faith... and also the first person to see Jesus after His death... He was the least of all people and yet God's insurpassable love was big enough to take in even one such as this man... this is how I see myself...worthy of the most shameful and excruciating death... and still, God's endless love takes me in even though I am least deserving.
Glory to the King....

1. I would like to meet ELIHU---Job 32. He was young but had profound wisdom. I would like to ask him HOW he gained that Wisdom. What he did. He's one of my most favorite in the bible.
2. I would like to meet the man in the Song of Songs:D I want to congratulate him for writing that book, and for helping christians GREATLY with that book about love, passion, and sex. I love that book. What a PROFOUND book!
3. I would like to meet the unnamed woman in Proverbs 31. I have admired her since i first took hold of a bible. SHE was the kind of wife i have longed for, and i have FOUND HER!!!!!!!!!!:):):) I would like to say, "God bless you woman!!" to her. And i would like to know HOW she became such a godly woman and WHY she DESIRED to be so submissive to her husband. What an intriguing women.
