jump into the word, its the best comforting place to be, get yourself more involved in church, no better place to feel God better than his house! seek fellowship with other believers,
Hebrews 10:25
"Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another–and all the more as you see the Day approaching."

Psalms 30:4
"Sing to the LORD , you saints of his;
praise his holy name."

Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-_edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

John 16:23
"At that time you won't need to ask me for anything. The truth is, you can go directly to the Father and ask him, and he will grant your request because you use my name."

1 John 5:14-15
"And we can be confident that he will listen to us whenever we ask him for anything in line with his will. And if we know he is listening when we make our requests, we can be sure that he will give us what we ask for."

Jump Into His word, establish a more stable foundation, let the spirit flow!!!

Amen to KrazyEuro, there's nothing like fellowship to lift your spirits. Another thing that I've found to work GREAT, is talking about Jesus and what he's done for you with others. It makes you recognize and realize his blessings. You don't have to be perfect to talk about Christ with others, but make sure that you are sincerely TRYING to become a better christian. Many people know facts and theology from the Bible, but few are the ones that actually live it.

wow...this is such a great topic.

andyeah..i got thru those too......sometimes weekly. and you are right.....sharing with others does make a difference, cause after you had a chance to share..you realize deep within yourself what you just said....and you'll find that what you told someone else....was really just the Holy Spirit talking straight to you....

so...that is my way of getting back into the fold, so to speak. hearing a sermon.......or taking a walk thru nature......that usually can do it for me.

sometimes..when my mind is really clouded with things that shouldnt be priority....i really have to get down on my knees and pray.....

Music is a great cure for apathy too. How many people don't get moved by a great song or a christian concert?

You can't ask anyone how much of a Christian they are because only God knows the answer to that, and only Him. How close you are to God and how good your relationship with Him is strictly between Him and yourself, and it is your choice if you like to share these things with other people. However, on the other hand, I would not :) because I don't want people assuming things and I don't want to give people anything to start talking about :) haha.

I think you know how much of a christian you are too. How could you live every moment of your life and still not be sure of it?

Too late. By making this public announcement of your belief, you will already have people assuming things about you. Not me, of course, but based upon the other postings from certain other members who like to make lots of assumptions, I can see that happening. :screwy:

What Olgutza wrote about Rebel Dork's publicizing himself. So, both.

And thanks Hailey. I just wanted to put an example of perfection to clarify what the text wants. ;)

I'm talking about that. And sorry about that Rebel Dork. Forgive me?

i concur with what rebel dork says, nobody can say who's christian and who's not, only the individual and God. others can speculate and assume that one is or isnt a christian, but thats not 100% sure of whether someone is or not.

Of course, everyone has a different solution to their problems, but I've noticed that the same thing doesn't always work for me. As I mature as a christian, I have different needs, and those needs are met in different ways. Lastly, people change but God doesn't.

I was just wondering if there are many people like me that go through phases where you are so close to God one week, and the next one you forget about him. If anyone knows a cure to this, tell me.

Its SIN.
I fall into sin and I get mad at God…and I ask why? Why?
I guess its anger with me…I get mad and I put Him aside and I don’t even know it…I need to learn to trust Him more and understand that I will sin but I should get back up and repent. I need to catch myself before the sin is formed in my mind, on my tongue, in my actions, on my path.

“I love worshiping God before I go to sleep (telling Him my needs, talking to Him, explaining my day to Him, singing, listening to music, listening to the wind blow and His voice speaking in the night)…but if I can only wake up the same way!”

the truth of the matter is simply this, you're either for him, or against him, no inbetween, no "5's" as someone said!! your either a Christ-one (christian) or your not a Christ-One (christian) you make the decision. Now if your talking on a relationship basis. you should ask...

who feels like they have a solid relationship with the Lord?

:amen: :amen: :amen: Once again, I agree with you...I've never heard of the color Gray...Gray implies in between...in between black and white...so we're either black or white. Yes...some people do go back and forth, but that's because those people are trying to impress the world, and you and I both know that we're not here for the world...but we're giving back the life that God gave us by praising Him, and Honoring His name...remember...lay it ALL down for God...claim EVERYTHING to be His, because that's the reason we have everything...until we are able to give up everything, pick up the cross and follow Him, we will NEVER get anywhere, that's why we are luke-warm Christian...and I'll be the first to admit, that I was there once, and of course, I still sin...but that's part of the sinful nature we were born into...however, once you ask for forgiveness...don't do it again...

Just a question Jennifer: Do you consider it worse to be luke-warm or cold?

Ok...I consider it worse to be a luke-warm Christian. Why??? Well, because when one is cold, they more than likely have not heard about the great message of Christ. A luke-warm on the other hand, knows about Christ, and yet still serves two masters at once. Luke 16:13...

When you run into a time in your life where you are straying from God, yes, it is because of sin. Your mind can become more focused on earthly stuff, and not on God, where it should be. Like Jeniffer said, being a luke-warm Christian is not good. If you know about God, and are living against what the Bible says, you really aren't setting a good example. I suggest praying every day and asking God for strength to pull your eyes back on him, and to wipe away your sin. Also, spend some time reading your Bible, you'll find some interesting and comforting stuff when you do. Thats my suggestion.

I consider it worse too. Know why? Because luke-warm people have a false sense of security and don't experience the same feeling of ungodliness that cold people do. Because of this, they don't feel any need to change like cold people.
