Romanian Youth Events

please vote on what conference/events/gathering you've been to in the past few months.

Within the past year in the ethnic Romanian christian community we've seen some new conferences/events arise and be used for God's glory to unite ethinc Romanian youth to freely worship and to grow spiritually.

everyone knows that we have the annual Romanian Pentecostal Youth conventions on the East and West coast. However, there is a new movement i believe of youth organizing local events to make an impact.

Who has been to any of these events? If you havent, have you heard of them? what do you lioke/dislike about these events. please discuss here...

I've been to Enjoying God and Unite 2 Ignite. Back in 2003 Enjoying God was so great in itself because we finally had a conference/event to look forward to midway through our national pentecostal youth conventions. It was great to see an interdenominational event that attracted people from out of state. The worship and music was really nice, and the humor used by the hosts and in the presentations made the experience even more enjoyable. Can't wait til this November. (www.enjoyinGod.org)

Well, just this Saturday we had Unite 2 Ignite for the first time here in Michigan after a long spell of having no youth events between our churches. It was nice seeing so many different people, and the pastor that spoke delivered a very fresh message. Being allowed to stay at church so late was a very healthy experience too (idea of having everyone together).

I guess this isn't especially applicable in this thread, but I just wanted to say that the pocait churches have really awesome youth programs. My mother and I were just saying that if other churches (like ours) had such vibrant programs, they wouldn't have the youth leaving in droves. The way that music, worship, Biblical teaching and fellowship come together just cannot be equaled. So even though I have not had the pleasure to attend any of the special events, even the youth nights are more dynamic than anything else I have ever attended in the past.

awesome to hear! and i'm really excited to see you at our Betezda Youth meetings wednesday nights. ask your fiancee to come along as well. from what i remember you said he was romanian as well. :) ...and he cant say hes to old cause i'm sure he isnt older than me! :)

whoami - for now these events are in their infancies. Besides 'The Gathering' events on the west coast who have been held a bit more this year... the other 2 are just beginning... God knows how far and long they will reach however.

saturday was the L.A. and Sacramento youth gathering in sacramento it was awsome we had about 4 hours of worship and open mice i loved it god was there and the band from LA was awsome im lookin forward to the one in LA in december

Never heard of either!! Went to the Convention in Chicago, and that's about it. I'm more into the youth gatherings at churches and stuff.

for those of you who seem to be absent from such events: consider taking some iniative and changing "the way things run" in your locality. God can use anyone to expand His kingdom, and I know that these three events listed all started as a simple vision by (probably) simple people.

i agree with andy, these events didnt start by some rich dude who had the time and money to spread the word, they were simple people who wanted to glorify God! every city should have such a gathering!! its not that hard, every 3 months or so set a day where you invite your local neighbors to come and kiiiiiiiick it at church! and praise the Lord!
