Relient K's new CD. I bought it and I don't really like it. Some songs I do like though are High On 75, Be My Escape, and the ending part of I So Hate Consequences. So yeah. Who has that CD? What are your favorite songs?

aj.. Not all of their songs are good. In fact most of them are pretty bad. Half the time they're screaming in the microphones. Relient K is not what it used to be.. :nono: I wouldn't waste my money if I were you. In fact I already have!

i dont like relient k....ive heard some of thier songs, i dont feel that their music is very christian, especially thier lyrics. its more of a "have fun while doing whatever" music, than one that actually builds and encourages in Jesus. i'm not just singling out relient k, some other artists are like my friend calls "half-baked" or "performance songs" its just my take on this

what are you talking about "AKA Neo and Trinity." are you trying to say that we are all ONE person, because we're not...i have gotten to know Neo, but Trinity i don't even know...

lol...i don't really prefer the screaming in the microphone stuff either...
rorep- actually, many of their songs are faith oriented. not going to name them but just read through their lyrics. and their screaming is not new; "softer to me" was one of their original songs and it's pretty wild near the end. there's much more piano on this CD, and I think that's wonderful. also, listen to track 8 for the great use of a banjo. :)
the only real difference is that they've matured in their music so it's alot more refined and a little less simplistic these days.

I love the banjo part!! :ajam: Dude.. I think your right. They have matured. "Softer To Me" is my fav. song that they sing. Except for the screaming. They would sell so much more CDs if they didn't scream. Look at Yellow Card. They Never ever screamed once in their CD "Ocean Avenue" and it became the #1 rock CD (topselling) the year it came out! That's insane. I really wish Relient K wouldn't yell in the microphones. It's almost as bad as people changing the name of your thread without asking you first. :sly: :nono: :screwy:

Relient K rocks! i bought their new cd when it came out...dude! those dude's are talented!! for those of you who say that their songs are not "christian like" ... i got a question for you, is everything you do in life christian like? these guys are out on mission..if you dont know about them...read up on them...they're trying to attract the world to listen to their music, to buy their CD's..on their Cd's they have beautiful Godly Songs...what better way to attract the world then to use their style? Paul said it the best, "when i was with the jews, i acted like the jews, dressed like the jews, so that i might win them over" you cannot go to a punk rocker in Downtown Detroit (by the way, your fans stink! LoL) and throw them matt redman worship CD and say "hope the Lord touches you"... with all that in mind, Relient K does rock!! i like their song from their last cd "I lay my life before you, and im not getting up, Father how i adore you, those words are not enough" that song roCkS!!!!!!!!!!! :lol2: God bless all you relient K freaks out there! especially you andy! my boys were down there for the ignite unite thing in detroit... i hope you guys treated them right! :bfro:

You shouldn't do any swearing, whether it was actually the case or not. :tut:

I changed the title, and i told you that in that thread you started complaining about why this one was closed. I wasn't aware that mmhm or whatever was the name of their album, but none the less be more specific on what your mean when you starting the thread. No need to get big red letters in your posts.

I was going to right it it big Orange letters, since it is my favorite color. Or even Yellow, but it was too much Irittating to me eyes. So I chose red. Is it against Royouth's rules if it is too colorful or big? :screwy:
